Stuff!

So I am officially done school for this semester! Like I said before I can't believe that I only have ONE semester left!! I finished writing my last test for my last class on Tuesday, and it was a very happy day!! All that stands between me and graduation is a week of orientation, and 360 hours of practicum!!

I finally got my practicum placement for next semester. I am going to be placed in Cardston. I am kind of sad because it wasn't my first choice, but there is nothing I can do about it so I guess I will get use to the idea! I haven't heard much about Cardston Hospital so I am hoping that I get a good preceptor and have a good time out there.

Zac has one more exam to write before Christmas holidays, and I can hardly wait! I will finally get my husband back! He has been studying so hard, so that he can boost his g.p.a and hopefully get into grad school within the next couple of years. I am so proud of him! He is such a great husband, student, and I know that some day he will make an awesome father!!

This weekend Zac's sister, Jessica went through the Temple for the very first time! Following that she had her Canadian Wedding Reception. It was a really fun day! Jessica looked absolutely beautiful! We are so excited for Jess and Blake!! Following the temple, we went to the Cobblestone manor in Cardston! It was a really weird place, not what I expected that is for sure! But it was a good time spent with family!!

I can hardly wait for Christmas!! I am really excited! I only wish that Zac would finish up his shopping so that I wouldn't be so nervous! I like to get my shopping done by the beginning of December, so then I am not rushed, and can sit back and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the season!! Even though we have a lot of places to be during Christmas I am looking forward to spending time with family! I am really looking forward to the Williams Christmas Party, always a good time!!

Another time I am looking forward to is Reading Week!! The Erickson family is going to HAWAII!! We are going to be there for about ten days or so!! I can so excited for the getaway! I have never been any where fun, hot, and with beaches before!! Zac is looking forward to seeing the ocean again! He misses it, he use to see it every day when he was on his mission!

I think that is all from me today!! Its really random, because it is just all of my crazy thought with no rhyme or reason!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Slacker!!

Ok...so i have been a big slacker this summer in the blogging world!! This is going to be some what of a catch up post, but i will try to be brief and not long and boring!!
Zac and I were really busy this summer working!! We didn't do much of anything this summer, it seemed like we had opposite schedules!!
We did however manage to get away at the end of June beginning of July for a little Waterton Family Reunion. It was really nice to get together with all of Zac's family!! What we did when we were there was 1) eat ice cream everyday, 2) hiked Wall Lake all 35 of us!! The only people who were missing were Tyler and Erin, Matt, Shannon, and their two boys, and the two missionaries Chase and Payton. It was a pretty fun hike!! While at Wall lake some brave souls decided to cliff jump!! The water was so cold that there was still big chunks of ice floating around!! 3) I got to read a book 4) sit in the sun at Emerald Bay 5) catch up on sleep 6) just plain relax!! and 7) eat alot of good cooking!!! 8) While everyone else went up Bears Hump Zac, Scott, Ashley, and I decided to do Blackiston Falls!! It was a good decision!!

We didnt get away again until the middle of August when we went to my family reunion!! It was fun to play cards, eat, and visit with all of the cousins!! Unfortunately, I dont have any pictures from that weekend!

Finally the end of August Zac and I got to go on a holiday!! We started off going to Drumheller, where we camped for two nights!! While we were there we hit up the Royal Tyrrel Museum, and went for a ride on the Ferry boat (haha, what a joke)!! It was so nice to spend some time together and not have to worry about anything!!

On Friday we packed up and headed to Edmonton!! We stayed at Rainbow Valley campgroup, which was not the best of spots!! It was nice because we didn't spend much time at the campsite, but was not very sheltered, and was very dirty!! We did, however, still have a lot of fun. On Friday evening we went out for dinner with my brother-in-law and my niece at Red Robin!! Which was the hole point of going to Edmonton!! I had been craving it for a long time!! Then we went shopping at West Ed. and managed to find Zac and I each a pair of shoes!! The next day we went swimming at the Water Park!! I don't think that I have had that much fun in a long time!! Zac and I were like little kids again!! We went on all the slides at least once and few of them several times!! Zacs favorite slide was the toilet bowl!! He could circle the bowl about 4 times before getting pooped out!! I, on the other hand, could only go around about 2 times (if i was lucky)!! We stayed there for about 3.5 hours!! The next day we sure felt it!! I was so sore...I guess i am not as young as I once was!!

That evening we got to spend some time with Zac's cousin Tyler and his wife Erin. We went to a movie, and then went a chilled at their house. It is always nice to spend time with family. On sunday morning we packed up all of your camping stuff and headed home!! It was so fun to go camping and on a vacation, but it was nice to get home too!!

We are now back to the grind of school. I only have one year left, so i can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! I am really excited to be finished!! So far my semester has been pretty good, I think that it will go by fast! Zac is also enjoying his classes!! WE are looking forward to Thanksgiving so that we can have a day off together!!

First Year!!

This weekend Zac and I are celebrating your 1st year anniversary!! Holy cow where did the time go!
So for Zac and I the first year of marriage consisted of:
  • A lot of "did i really marry Zac Erickson" moments!!
  • Several trips to the ER (I think about 4 times in a matter of 5 months!)
  • One crazy basement suite, with lousy Landlords
  • A move to Raymond (which when we got engaged, we both agreed that we would never live here) to a little house, that WE LOVE!!
  • Many awesome family get togethers!! ( I can't remember the last time I cooked Sunday dinner)
  • One busy Christmas!
  • A lot of fighting, and a lot of saying "I'm Sorry"
  • Some weight gain...haha!!
I love Zac so much!! He is such an awesome example of patience, love and understanding! I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!! Happy Anniversary Babe!!

For your first anniversary we are going to Calgary. Probably doesn't sound to exciting, but we are just excited to get to spend the whole weekend together!! We are going leaving on friday, so that I can get my passport stuff done!! Hopefully we dont have to spend to long waiting!! Then we are going to do some shopping, relaxing, and maybe take in an Imax movie. Hopefully it is an alright weekend!!

Here are some pictures from your first year!!Awkward dating stage!

The night that we got engaged!

The next day Zac got to met his first official nephew!! Now Zac is the proud uncle of 9 nieces and 3 nephews!!

Where did April go?!

Holy Cow!! I cannot believe that the month of April is over...where did the time go? The month was pretty busy.
I started off with Zac's grandfather passing away. Grandpa Erickson was a pretty awesome guy. He married Zac and I, which was the last wedding that he preformed. (its our only claim to fame!) I didn't know him for too long, but I will always remember his quick sense of humor. I remember coming out of the temple after getting my endownments and the first thing he said to me was "Well, I have never seen you dressed up before" haha!! It was true...I don't often wear a dress, unless occasion calls for it!! I also remember Zac and I going over there one Sunday afternoon to visit him. We knocked on the door but he didn't answer so we just went in to the house. All we could hear was some really loud Big Band music. As we ventured further into the house we found him laying on the floor in his living room. I thought that he had fallen or something, but really he was just having a little sunday rest, listening to some music. We will sure miss him, but are so happy that he is back with his beloved wife.

The next day was Joel and Kayleigh Wolsey's wedding. We had the opportunity to attend their sealing. It was pretty awesome, because it was the first wedding I got apart of..apart from my own. Although the Sealer did an amazing job, I have to say that it did not compare to Zac and my wedding with Grandpa Erickson.

After the funeral and the wedding, I had to finish up some nursing assignments. My last day of practicum was on April 14, and it was the BEST day ever!! I was so relieved and glad to be finished with mental health!! Now I am officially done school, until September! I have four months of nothing....well actually four months of work, and vacation!! I am so looking forward to being able to spend some time with Zac, and get outside to do some yard work. I am also looking forward to going on some little vacations.

Hopefully the whole summer wont go by as fast as the month of April did!!

SMILING!!

Today on the way home from practicum I found myself smiling, dancing, and signing along to the radio! Why do you ask? Because the sun is finally out, most of the snow is melted, and I only have TWO weeks of school left!! On the way home from Lethbridge today, I saw snowbirds heading back!! There were two big motorhomes towing cars. Oh what a beautiful sight!!
I think that the vitamin D is doing me some good lately!! I feel so good about life!!The last little while I have found that I have no motivation to do anything, I only do what I know needs to be done. But this last week I have actually enjoyed doing somethings. I even worked 3 shifts this weekend, and I actually enjoyed it!! I really like my undergrad position at the Hospital. Even though my friday shift was really awkward. I get to work on Friday morning and find out that there is a group of Nursing Students. Which isn't that big of deal, until I find out that they are 3rd year students (which is the same year as me), and that I know 4 out of the 7 students. Then to top it off, I become their primary nurse, so the students have to report to me, and if something goes wrong they come to me to see what they should do. I felt strange having to be the "boss" of students who I have no more education than. But the shift worked out really good, and wasn't as bad as I thought that it was going to be!

Today I even enjoyed myself to day at practicum, which is kind of strange considering that I hate mental health. Today at practicum I got to attend ECTs, which really isn't as scary or strange as it is made out to be. It was really interesting to see how it was actually done, what happened, and to even see that some patients are having success with this treatment. I also got to go sit in on a group session, it was really interesting. I sat behind one-way glass with head phones on for an hour and a half. Even though I am not to fond of mental health some of the stuff that happens and some of the treatments are interesting.

I am really looking forward to SUMMER!! I am so excited to go to Waterton to the cabin with all of the Dudleys. This will be my first time to the cabin. Zac keeps telling me stories about things that happen, and I am really looking forward to praticipating in them. Well I think thats about it
for now!!

Mental....

Health is definitely not for me! This semester has been devoted to learning about mental health disorders, and also I have been doing practicum at Raymond Care Center. Just this week I have moved practicum sites, and now I am at LRH. Today was my first orientation shift. It was short and sweet, which was good, because I was not prepared to stay there all day!! We had a tour of the unit, and got our patient assignments. I am very much looking forward to finishing up this rotation. I know that I am going to learn a lot, and there will be more to do, and more excitement then RCC, but I am pretty much just putting in my time. Which I hope doesn't sound bad. I love nursing, but I am ready for summer, and ready to get through the rest of the program. In the mean time I am just thinking warm thoughts.....

And preparing myself for the next six week of mental health, and school.
Hopefully it goes by quicker than the last!!

Finally!!

So I finally got an undergrad position on Acute!! I am so excited!! It will be nice to finally start using some of my skills that have been dormant for a while. I am so nervous to actually start. There is so much stuff that I don't know, and all of these what ifs in my head. Zac just keeps telling me that i will be fine, and that i will do a good job. It is just really nerve racking. I already have 7 orientation shifts!! Which means that i definitely will be getting all the shifts that i want and probably more!! It will be nice to work there for the summer and then do my rural acute practicum, that way it won't be all new to me!!
Any ways that is just my exciting news, and my little rant that goes a long with it!!

The ping-pong Christmas!!

Wow, it has been long time since I have updated this. I finally got tired of looking at gingerbread houses. I probably would have updated sooner but my computer is so dumb. Sometimes it takes forever to load things, and then sometimes it works just fine.

Christmas was so much fun. I enjoyed almost every second of it. Before Christmas i got sick so I went to the Dr. and got put on antibiotics. I felt better for about a week, then on Boxing day I started feeling worse. By Saturday I was so sick that I had to go to the ER. I got put on another round of oral antibiotics, and also on IV antibiotics. So to make a long story short after about 2 and a half weeks of antibiotics I finally felt better. :)

Christmas started off of us on the 22 of December. It was the annual Williams Christmas Party. It was so much fun to see some family members that you dont get to see very often. This year they decided that we needed to have SantaClause came and hand out treat bags to the kids. Zac was volun-told to play Santa!! He made a great Santa. All of the kids loved him. These aren't the greatest pictures, but they are of our neice and nephew with Santa!!

We spend Christmas eve and day with the Erickson's. On Christmas Eve Day we went to Grandpa and Grandma Dudley's. We opened our gramma jammies. I got my first pair this year, and they couldn't have been more awesome. I love them. They are so cute, and comfy!

That night we went to the live nativity in Lethbridge with Grandpa Erickson. It always feel more like christmas after going to the Nativity.

Christmas morning was great. Zac and I got spoiled. We got a new camera from Scott and Susie, and it is wonderful. Now I have no excuss for not having pictures!! I also got a Ipod nano,

and Zac got a DS.

We sat around pretty much all day Christmas and did nothing!! It was great. WE finally got up enough motivation and went over to my moms to visit with her. She also spoiled us. Back a couple months ago she gave us a quilt which is so nice. She told us that was christmas, but when we got to her house she had other gifts for us. I got a beatiful picture of the Saviour. It is one of my favorite prints.

After my mom's house, we than went to Grandma and Grandpa Dudley's for Christmas dinner with Kevin and Monette's family. There was so much good food!
We then headed back to our house so that my dad could come over. After they left it was getting kinda late so we headed to bed after a very full day.

On boxing day Zac and I decided to go shopping. We got up early and went to the mall. We got some new shoes, and also some clothes. It was a total power shop. We got the the mall at around 9 and were back in Raymond at about noon!! We then went to my moms for dinner. She cooked up a ham, and my brother and his family were there, and then my uncle Dick, Heather, Devany, Cheyne and his family. It was a pretty full house but it was fun to visit with everyone!!

Even though we spend lots of time bouncing back and forth between family functions Christmas was wonderful, and an awesome break from school. (although it could have been a little bit longer!!)
