Gingerbread Houses!!

On Sunday after family dinner, we all made gingerbread houses out at Dudley's. It was a lot of fun!! I don't have very many pictures but I am going to try and get some more off of Susie's camera within the next couple of days!!

Tis' The Season

Wow!! I am so excited!! I can't believe how fast Christmas is approaching!! I absolutely love it!!
I know that it has been a long time since I updated, but not to much has happened. Zac and I have been living in the new place for a couple of weeks now, and we LOVE it. It is so nice to have your own space!!
It is so nice to be close to the family as well. For the first couple of weeks we were over at the parents a lot because we didn't have internet or cable. Its funny how much you use the internet.

School is now done for both Zac and I. I only had one final and it was a big joke. Zac wrote 4 finals and just got finished on the 16th. I should of been working like crazy this last week, but on Saturday I got sick and didn't feel well. I finally went the the Doctor yesterday and I have a staph infection in my nose, and then strep throat so I am a wicked high dose of antibiotics right now. It is amazing how much better I feel even a day later. Other than that nothing else is going on.

So i am so excited for Christmas. I think that we have something planned for everyday next week!! On Monday we are going to the Mall and getting the traditional Santa Clause Pictures with the Erickson's. It should be fun. Than after that we are going to go the the Annual Williams Christmas party. Zac is going to play Santa Clause and give the little kids treat bags. I am excited for that!! After the Party we will probably go to my moms and play card until late!! On the 23 I am working, and I guess we dont have much planned, but on Christmas eve and Christmas day we have big plans with Zac's Family. It should be a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to it, but at the same time I am a little bit nervous! On Christmas day we will go and see my parents. And on boxing day we have a little bit of shopping planned and also dinner at my moms!! It should be an interesting Christmas trying to get in time with all the families, but I am sure it will be a lot of fun!! Well thats it for right now, but I am sure that after the Holidays, I will have much more to write!!

Moving

So this next week Zac and I are moving into Raymond. We are very excited to have our own place with no one upstairs, no management company, and no leaky roof. Okay let me explain why we decided to move.
First off, the upstairs people are very annoying. They have little kids that run, jump, and stomp on the floor at early hours. We haven't complained because they are kids and you cant really stop kids from being kids. But what really ticks us off is when we had music playing at 1 pm and they banged on the floor telling us to turn it off. What?! It is the afternoon, if it was one in the morning that would be a different story, but come on.

Secondly, the management company that we are renting from turned into complete jerks. We had a electric outlet that was getting increasingly looser. Zac called them and ask them to come fix it, and it took over a week for them to get it done. They came into your house with out informing us, and then when we approached them about it, the guy said that they were worried about the fire hazard so he did what he thought was best. Well if he was so worried about the fire hazard, why did it take over two weeks for it to get fixed. Then to top that off he blamed Zac for breaking it. We decided to let it go because your place was a pretty good price for what we got.

Then a couple of weeks ago, I guess on Halloween, Zac was getting ready to leave for class when he noticed water dripping from the roof in the bathroom. He called to tell them about it, and all they said was if it happens again then call them back. What?! Its water coming from the roof!! So after a bit of a melt down from me, Zac called them back that day and told them they need to come a fix it. They did come and their fix to the problem was to put a bucket in the roof to catch the water. Needless to say I was not impressed. Zac and I talked it over that weekend and then Monday morning we gave our notice. They told us because our notice was late that if they couldn't rent it that we would have to pay for Decembers rent. Well Zac and I figured that if they were going to be like that we would take matters into our own hands. Zac put an ad up on kijiji(sp?) and within a few days it was rented. The management company actually called Zac and asked him to take the ad down cause they were getting over run with calls about it.

After Zac and I knew for sure that our place was rented we started looking for places to rent in Raymond. We decided Raymond because we are out there a lot anyways, I work there, and we needed a change. We looked at two houses both were really nice, but the one was out of your price range, and bigger than we needed. We decided on a little yellow house that has one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. It is pretty small, but it will be just perfect for us right now.

We have to downsize a little, but it is actually a good excuse to get rid of a lot of junk that we don't need and don't use. We sold our leather couch because we didn't need it, cause we have a full matching set. We are also getting rid of some lamps, a desk, and a night stand. I have been going through the back bedroom, and the storage room and been throwing stuff out. Why do we keep the stuff we do?! In our storage room we had empty boxes from appliances. Why was I saving them?! So we took a lot of boxes to the recycling, and I think so far I have filled two garbage bags up with crap.

We still have a lot of packing to do, and cleaning out but I am getting really excited to move. The only down side with moving is that it is happening at not so great a time!! We have to be out of our current house by noon on the 30th, which is a Sunday. So all of the moving and cleaning has to be done before on Saturday. But we don't know when we can move into the new house. We are hoping that the guy will be out before Saturday. If not we will be homeless for a couple of days!! I am sure our parents wont mind!! haha!! Another bad thing is that it is the last week of classes and finals start. Zac will be busy with school, so all of the packing and unpacking is going to fall on me. But it will all be good, because my last day of classes is the 2nd, and my last/first final is on the 8th.

I am so excited to move so that I can put up my Christmas decorations. I have been going through withdrawals because I want my Christmas tree up so bad! But it made no sense to put it up then take it down to move, then put it back up. I am also excited to start making Christmas goodies!! I have a whole list of things that I am going to make!! Its okay if I get fatter, its the HOLIDAYS!! :)

Well i think that is it for right now!!

CHRISTMAS!!

Ok so I know that it is only November, and Christmas is still a number of days away (46) but I am so excited to get the Christmas season here! So the plans so far are that at the end of the month we are moving into a little house in Raymond, and immediately decorating the house, and putting up the tree. But in the mean time, I have come up wit some cute little crafts that I am going to do.

First I am going to make Zac and I matching stockings!! I am really excited about this!! I looked at a lot of different patterns and designs but this is the one that wins!! I am planning on doing red and green ones!! Hopefully they turn out cute.

The next project that I am going to attempt to do is a Christmas wreath. I am feeling really crafty and need a couple projects to keep me busy for the next little while. So here is what the wreath looks like. It is pretty simple, but I think that it is cute.

The very last project/craft that i am going to do is called a kissing ball. It is really just a mistletoe!! I have wanted to get one for years, but I can never find one. Maybe I am not looking in the right places!! Nevertheless i am going to make one!! Or at least try my best!!
So that is what I have planned for November, and then in December is when the wild baking marathons are going to take place!!

Any one there?!

Okay so i am not a very good blogger, and I don't think that many people read/know that I have a blog. But Amy tagged me, so I guess I will do it any ways.

7 Random things about me:

1. I am very particular about certain things and I am finding it really hard to convince Zac that they are important. For instance I like laundry folded a certain way, and it is really irritating when things are folded wr0ng. Thank goodness that Zac is slowly learning the "right" way!!

2. I HATE mice with a passion, and I am terrified that there is one in the house, even though there is not one. The other day I swear I saw something out of the corner of my eye so i wouldn't walk on the floor.

3. I am a really picky eater, and so is Zac. We have certain things that we eat, but are slowly branching out. We usually eat the same things every week!!

4. I am a baby hog!! I love babies until they start crying!! If there is a baby in the room I am usually holding it and won't let any one else!! :)

5. I am the biggest procrastinator every!! If there is an assignment due in a month, I cannot get up the motivation to finish it until a couple days before it is due!! Sometimes it, okay most times, it kicks me in the butt!!

6. I love new socks!! If I could I would wear a new pair of socks everyday!! I also wear the same kind of socks everyday!! (white sports socks, usually champion brand, because they are Costco special)

7. I usually have to plan out, or have a general idea of what I am going to wear the night before. If I don't then I usually take twice as long getting ready, especially on Sunday. Sunday is the worst day to plan what to wear and it always takes me the longest!!

Okay so there you have it! I would tag people but there aren't seven people who read my blog!! So if you by chance stubble across this and would like to do it then feel free to!!

HALLOWEEN

Alright I have decided that Halloween really isn't all that fun. Well ok let me rephrase that...being a married couple, with no kids, and really no other married friend makes Halloween suck. This year Zac and I were excited for Halloween. We went out, purchased decorations, candy, and a pumpkin!! We were going to stay at home and chill, but then we decided that we would go out to Raymond and visit the parents, and also see the only niece and nephew that live close. It was a lot of fun to see Mac and Lexi all dressed up!! I never took my camera out there so i will have to wait and steal some pics from my mom's camera!!

Here are some pictures of Zac and I from last Halloween. Zac did wear the same costume this year so there isn't much of a difference from last. He had a
good time. Both Joel and Zac wore it to school and had a lot of "Foreign students" ask for a picture with them!! Too funny!!

Later that night I had to go out to the jail for practicum. We were observing the "Drunk Tank" so that we could come up with and implement a similar place at the Lethbridge shelter. I am really excited to go!! I was told that they bring in some really awesome costumes, and have crazy stuff happen....but unfortunately that was not the case. It was so dead!! NO ONE came in dressed up, and most of them immediately came in to the tank and laid down. It was still a really neat experience to get to tour of the jail, and also spend some time there. It certainly is a different atmosphere!! I recommend you do every thing not to go there!!! :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

This past weekend was Thanksgiving Day. Zac and I spent the weekend out in Raymond at his parents house. On Saturday night we went to my moms house and had dinner with her, Del, my cousin Heather, and my brother Tim. My mom cooked up a ham and all of the fixings. It was really good food, and also a good visit with my mom and Heather. My mom was a way of 2 weeks so it was the first time that i had visited with her since she got back. My cousin Heather thinks that i fell of the edge of the world since i got married, so i havent visited with her in a while!! Actually I think that she fell of the edge because she moved to Arrowwood!!! ha!
On Sunday we went to Grandpa and Grandma Dudleys house and had an awesome dinner there with Scott and Susie's family, and also Kevin and Monette's family. It is always fun to hang out with all of the cousins. After dinner I went to work and while I was gone Zac and some others decided that we should have a contest to see who can lose the most weight between now and Christmas. We all had to weigh in, and then an the 21st of December we are all going to weigh in again!! You have to pay $20 to be in the contest, but if you win then you get the money!!
Any way back to the dinner on Sunday...Payton decided that it would be a good idea if we all went around the room and said something that we were thankful for. Thanks Payton!! Just jokes!! It was actually a good idea!! One of Grandpa Dudley's friend was there and when we got to him he said something really fun. He said " That he was thankful for all the beautiful faces in the room, and that we were all here because Brian loved Diane." We all had a chuckle over that, and thought that we should make a sign that said ".....Because Brian loved Diane"!!
Well while I am on a roll i am going to make a quick list of the things that I am thankful for!!
1. I am so thankful for Zac!! I love him so much!! He makes me so happy!! I am so glad that I am able to spend my life with a man who makes me laugh everyday...even if it is at myself!!
2. I am thankful for families!! Both Zac's and mine!!
3. I am thankful that Zac's family live close to us!! All of my family lives so far away, so that has made me more appreciative to have Zac's family close!
4. I am thankful for the gospel.
5. I am thankful for temples.
6. I am thankful for the country that I live in. For the rights and freedoms that we have.
7. I am thankful for the opportunity that i have to go to school, and pursue something that i love!!
8. I am thankful for both Zac's and my health.
9. and so many, many more!!

I am sorry that this is a long blog, and that there aren't any pictures, but i dont have any!! :( I need to start taking the camera places or robbing some from Susie!!

I am not very good at updating.....

September has been a pretty crazy month with school and work. It is crazy that by the end of summer you want to get back to school so bad and then a month in you want it to be summer again!! Zac is having a really hard time adjusting. He got a new calling as an early morning seminary teacher, and is finding that having to get up at 6ish each morning is a drag. A normal day for Zac is seminary from 7-8, and then he comes home, changes and then takes off to school until 1 or 4 depending on the day. Then he is also working still at Home Depot. Some days he is gone literally all day. Which sucks for me! I sure do appreciate Zac and everything that he does for our family!! He is such a great husband and one day he is going to make such an awesome father. He is so patient and loving, and some days I definately dont deserve it!!

As for me, I am pretty busy with school and work. This year I am doing my community practicum for nursing, which means that I am a
t the Lethbridge Homeless Shelter two days a week. It is pretty different there. It still makes me a little nervous to go there, but every day it is getting easier. The people there sure lead much different lives and have much different priorities than me! I am really glad that I am doing my practicum here in Lethbridge at the shelter, and not in Calgary. That would be 10x more scary. I am really excited to finish up with this semester and move on to something different. I dont think that community nursing is for me.

Any who....at the beginning of September before Jessica went down to Boise, and Amy went back to Edmonton, we took some family photos. They were funny. Here are a couple that Susie emailed us.

I am getting so excited for Christmas. I know that it is still a couple months away, but I don't care. I am excited for all of the smells, sounds and especially family that it brings. This Christmas will actually be my second Christmas with Zac and his family. Last year was really awkward because we had not been dating that long, and I was really intimidated by his family. This year will hopefully go much better. : ) I have already started my shopping, and come November we will be putting up the tree!! I know that there are still a couple holidays to celebrate before Christmas, but the count down in our house is on!!

So i know that this is a really random blog, but i figured i better post something so these are just all the random thoughts of the day!!

Summer Adventures

This summer has been very exciting with lost of stuff going on. After the wedding I thought that the rest of the summer would be pretty uneventful, but I was wrong. For most of June Zac and I work, and worked. It seemed like we never say each other. We both looked forward to July 1st so that we could have a day off together.

July 1st was alot of fun. We started the day off at Grand
ma and Grandpa Dudley's house for breakfast. Its a tradition to go there before the parade for pancakes with strawberries and whip cream. It is also Grandma Dudley's birthday so not only did we celebrate Canada Day but also her birthday.
The girls on their way to the parade!!

After the parade, we all headed out to Carol Dahl's farm for the huge Dahl Picnic. It was crazy how many people were there. The picnic got cut short because there was a massive storm!! We all headed back into town to Grandma Dudley's and lounged around waiting for the storm to end, and the power to turn back on. We were all a bit disappointed because we had a golf tee time for 2, but it was still pouring so we missed it. But luckily for us, not many people wanted to golf after the rain so we still got to go. It was a lot of fun. Tyler, Erin, Zac, and I were a team. Good thing Tyler, the golf pro was there or we would of really sucked!! Especially with me on the team, because I had never golfed before and i am really bad!!

We got third place!!

The next thing that we did this summer was go to Edmonton for my nieces baby blessing. She is the CUTEST little thing ever!! While we were there Zac and I took advantage of West Ed and did a bit of shopping. Zac found quite a bit of stuff, which made me mad!! jokes!! I was really frustrated because ever store that i went into only had sleeveless shirts and short shorts! So shopping was a bust for me.

At the end of July we went camping with the Erickson's of a week at Surviors Lake just outside of Fernie. It was really awesome. Kevin and Monettes family was there so we hang out alot with them. All we really did while camping was eat, sleeep, sit down on the beach, and swim. It was so relaxing, and so much fun. Jessica and Amy, Zac's sisters, came towards the end of the week and it was nice to get to see them, and enjoy their company as well.

A couple days after we got home from camping I got really sick. We thought that i just had the flu, but on Monday morning when I still had a fever, couldn't keep anything down, and was in so much pain we know there was something else going on. I also need to mention here that Zac had a HUGE, MASSIVE boil on his face. So on Monday afternoon we walk into the hospital out in Raymond looking like quite the pair!! We spent the next couple of hours in the ER getting lab work done. I was so dehydrated that they could not find a vein in my hand or arm so the lab tech. had to poke and then milk my finger to get a sample. Which at the time I thought sucks but that was before they had to poke me FOUR time for an IV. I got admitted to the hospital that night with a temperature of 39.5 and was immediately put on antibiotics. It turns I had a really bad kidney infection and was in the hospital until thursday. But then i had to go back for antibiotics on thursday night, and twice on friday. While I was in the hospital Zac also was having some issues with his boil, he had to go to a dermatolagist twice so that he could get it cut opened and juiced. hahaha!! That sounds really gross but i couldn't think of another word to use!! Zac also got put on antibiotics. What an exciting week that was!!

The next week Zac and I were both feeling much better which was good because we had a trip to Utah planned. Zac was having a missionary reunion so it was really excited to go there and met some of his mission companions, and also his missionary President.
While we were down there we did alot of shopping, and a lot of walking!! We went to Park City Outlet Mall one day, and then the next day we went to Gateway shopping. Gateway is also a huge shopping center which is all outside. It was really sweet, it had levels, and so many awesome stores. I think that spent WAY to much money, but i was on vacation and really didn't care!! During these days we also went a walked around Temple Square. I love that place. It is always so clean, and beautiful. We got to go see the Joseph Smith movie, and we also went on a tour of the Conference Center. The conference Center is so amazing, it is so huge!! The paintings are so amazing, and the fountain is awesome!! I could of stayed there for twice as long, but we had to leave so that we could go and see everything else.

Zac and I on Temple Square!

The PTM Boys!!

Zac and I with Pres. Trask & Sis. Trask

Well I think that that is it for now. Zac and I are both looking forward to going back to school. Summer has been a lot of fun but it is always so nice to get back to a routine!!

P.S. I think that i will try updating this more often so that i dont have one big post every couple of months!!

First Blog

Alright...so i guess here goes nothing. I finally have given in to Zac and have created us a blog. We were just going to use Zac's existing one but with a name like zackowacko he didn't want to...and I can't really blame him.
I will try to update this when we have something fun and exciting happen, which might be a while! As for right now we are just both working and enjoying being married! I also need to learn how to do some things on this here blog, because I am a little challenged when it come to new things. So hopefully it all works out!!
