Moving

So this next week Zac and I are moving into Raymond. We are very excited to have our own place with no one upstairs, no management company, and no leaky roof. Okay let me explain why we decided to move.
First off, the upstairs people are very annoying. They have little kids that run, jump, and stomp on the floor at early hours. We haven't complained because they are kids and you cant really stop kids from being kids. But what really ticks us off is when we had music playing at 1 pm and they banged on the floor telling us to turn it off. What?! It is the afternoon, if it was one in the morning that would be a different story, but come on.

Secondly, the management company that we are renting from turned into complete jerks. We had a electric outlet that was getting increasingly looser. Zac called them and ask them to come fix it, and it took over a week for them to get it done. They came into your house with out informing us, and then when we approached them about it, the guy said that they were worried about the fire hazard so he did what he thought was best. Well if he was so worried about the fire hazard, why did it take over two weeks for it to get fixed. Then to top that off he blamed Zac for breaking it. We decided to let it go because your place was a pretty good price for what we got.

Then a couple of weeks ago, I guess on Halloween, Zac was getting ready to leave for class when he noticed water dripping from the roof in the bathroom. He called to tell them about it, and all they said was if it happens again then call them back. What?! Its water coming from the roof!! So after a bit of a melt down from me, Zac called them back that day and told them they need to come a fix it. They did come and their fix to the problem was to put a bucket in the roof to catch the water. Needless to say I was not impressed. Zac and I talked it over that weekend and then Monday morning we gave our notice. They told us because our notice was late that if they couldn't rent it that we would have to pay for Decembers rent. Well Zac and I figured that if they were going to be like that we would take matters into our own hands. Zac put an ad up on kijiji(sp?) and within a few days it was rented. The management company actually called Zac and asked him to take the ad down cause they were getting over run with calls about it.

After Zac and I knew for sure that our place was rented we started looking for places to rent in Raymond. We decided Raymond because we are out there a lot anyways, I work there, and we needed a change. We looked at two houses both were really nice, but the one was out of your price range, and bigger than we needed. We decided on a little yellow house that has one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. It is pretty small, but it will be just perfect for us right now.

We have to downsize a little, but it is actually a good excuse to get rid of a lot of junk that we don't need and don't use. We sold our leather couch because we didn't need it, cause we have a full matching set. We are also getting rid of some lamps, a desk, and a night stand. I have been going through the back bedroom, and the storage room and been throwing stuff out. Why do we keep the stuff we do?! In our storage room we had empty boxes from appliances. Why was I saving them?! So we took a lot of boxes to the recycling, and I think so far I have filled two garbage bags up with crap.

We still have a lot of packing to do, and cleaning out but I am getting really excited to move. The only down side with moving is that it is happening at not so great a time!! We have to be out of our current house by noon on the 30th, which is a Sunday. So all of the moving and cleaning has to be done before on Saturday. But we don't know when we can move into the new house. We are hoping that the guy will be out before Saturday. If not we will be homeless for a couple of days!! I am sure our parents wont mind!! haha!! Another bad thing is that it is the last week of classes and finals start. Zac will be busy with school, so all of the packing and unpacking is going to fall on me. But it will all be good, because my last day of classes is the 2nd, and my last/first final is on the 8th.

I am so excited to move so that I can put up my Christmas decorations. I have been going through withdrawals because I want my Christmas tree up so bad! But it made no sense to put it up then take it down to move, then put it back up. I am also excited to start making Christmas goodies!! I have a whole list of things that I am going to make!! Its okay if I get fatter, its the HOLIDAYS!! :)

Well i think that is it for right now!!

CHRISTMAS!!

Ok so I know that it is only November, and Christmas is still a number of days away (46) but I am so excited to get the Christmas season here! So the plans so far are that at the end of the month we are moving into a little house in Raymond, and immediately decorating the house, and putting up the tree. But in the mean time, I have come up wit some cute little crafts that I am going to do.

First I am going to make Zac and I matching stockings!! I am really excited about this!! I looked at a lot of different patterns and designs but this is the one that wins!! I am planning on doing red and green ones!! Hopefully they turn out cute.

The next project that I am going to attempt to do is a Christmas wreath. I am feeling really crafty and need a couple projects to keep me busy for the next little while. So here is what the wreath looks like. It is pretty simple, but I think that it is cute.

The very last project/craft that i am going to do is called a kissing ball. It is really just a mistletoe!! I have wanted to get one for years, but I can never find one. Maybe I am not looking in the right places!! Nevertheless i am going to make one!! Or at least try my best!!
So that is what I have planned for November, and then in December is when the wild baking marathons are going to take place!!

Any one there?!

Okay so i am not a very good blogger, and I don't think that many people read/know that I have a blog. But Amy tagged me, so I guess I will do it any ways.

7 Random things about me:

1. I am very particular about certain things and I am finding it really hard to convince Zac that they are important. For instance I like laundry folded a certain way, and it is really irritating when things are folded wr0ng. Thank goodness that Zac is slowly learning the "right" way!!

2. I HATE mice with a passion, and I am terrified that there is one in the house, even though there is not one. The other day I swear I saw something out of the corner of my eye so i wouldn't walk on the floor.

3. I am a really picky eater, and so is Zac. We have certain things that we eat, but are slowly branching out. We usually eat the same things every week!!

4. I am a baby hog!! I love babies until they start crying!! If there is a baby in the room I am usually holding it and won't let any one else!! :)

5. I am the biggest procrastinator every!! If there is an assignment due in a month, I cannot get up the motivation to finish it until a couple days before it is due!! Sometimes it, okay most times, it kicks me in the butt!!

6. I love new socks!! If I could I would wear a new pair of socks everyday!! I also wear the same kind of socks everyday!! (white sports socks, usually champion brand, because they are Costco special)

7. I usually have to plan out, or have a general idea of what I am going to wear the night before. If I don't then I usually take twice as long getting ready, especially on Sunday. Sunday is the worst day to plan what to wear and it always takes me the longest!!

Okay so there you have it! I would tag people but there aren't seven people who read my blog!! So if you by chance stubble across this and would like to do it then feel free to!!

HALLOWEEN

Alright I have decided that Halloween really isn't all that fun. Well ok let me rephrase that...being a married couple, with no kids, and really no other married friend makes Halloween suck. This year Zac and I were excited for Halloween. We went out, purchased decorations, candy, and a pumpkin!! We were going to stay at home and chill, but then we decided that we would go out to Raymond and visit the parents, and also see the only niece and nephew that live close. It was a lot of fun to see Mac and Lexi all dressed up!! I never took my camera out there so i will have to wait and steal some pics from my mom's camera!!

Here are some pictures of Zac and I from last Halloween. Zac did wear the same costume this year so there isn't much of a difference from last. He had a
good time. Both Joel and Zac wore it to school and had a lot of "Foreign students" ask for a picture with them!! Too funny!!

Later that night I had to go out to the jail for practicum. We were observing the "Drunk Tank" so that we could come up with and implement a similar place at the Lethbridge shelter. I am really excited to go!! I was told that they bring in some really awesome costumes, and have crazy stuff happen....but unfortunately that was not the case. It was so dead!! NO ONE came in dressed up, and most of them immediately came in to the tank and laid down. It was still a really neat experience to get to tour of the jail, and also spend some time there. It certainly is a different atmosphere!! I recommend you do every thing not to go there!!! :)
